“To give the kitchen a fresh new look, we began with a coat of light, neutral paint on the walls and cabinets, carefully selected and customized with the help of Denise Kartsimas. We also upgraded cabinet hardware with stylish pieces from Distinctive Hardware, completing the transformation with elegant yet functional details.” To save money, we decided to keep the granite countertops and not add cabinets to the ceiling.

If you’re looking to lighten and brighten your home without breaking the bank, there are plenty of ways to do so. As an interior designer in Lafayette, Louisiana, I’ve worked with many clients who want to refresh their space without spending a lot of money on structural changes.

If you are needing tips to lighten things up here are a couple of tips:

  1. Paint: One of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to brighten up a space is with a fresh coat of paint. Consider choosing light, neutral colors that will reflect light and make the space feel larger and brighter.
  2. Lighting: Updating your lighting fixtures can make a big impact on the overall feel of your space. Consider adding sconces, pendants, or a new chandelier to brighten up a room and add a touch of elegance.
